But, I don't understand: do you plan to put this
on your workplace LAN as port of entry from your
home ?

Wouldn't it be much less expensive to put a modem on
your workplace PC, and configure it (the workplace PC)
as a router/firewall for your home PC ???
That's easy to do with Linux (IP masq) and the home PC
wouldn't even know the difference, even if it runs
Windows ...
