er... hope this works. In /etc/conf.modiles are the configuration
for the automatically loaded modules. just comment the ones related to
your old sc. if there there is no info about your sc, then it could be
compiled within the kernerl; solution: reconfigure, recompile and
install a new kernel without that sc support.
