do you have a bp6 motherboard? I also am only running on one processor because of
APIC problem when I run dual, Even with the NOAPIC in the append line in lilo I
still can not seem to get the machine to run reliably with a smp kernel. I have
tried making my own (mandrake sources) and mandrakes smp kernel. I guess I should
get a generic kernel source and all the patches and try making from scratch. I
know it worked better in 5.3 with a non-mandrake kernel but I haven't took the time
to try again since then.
