hello
sorry if this has been covered b4... should smbmount come with
mandrake 7? On redhat it comes in the samba-client rpm which when i try
install gives the following error:
error: failed
dependencies:
samba-common = 2.0.5a is needed by samba-client-2.0.5a-12 libreadline.so.3 is needed by samba-client-2.0.5a-12 so i need to install the samba-common first - but where can i
find this libreadline.so.3? what is it/what does it do?
or
is there another way of mounting network smb shares that i am
missing???
I have tryed to get and compile smbfs (which contains
smbmount) from the samba website but when I try to make it I get a long list of
erros that scroll off my screen and which i cannot pipe to more (so cannot see
what the errors are)
any help would be appreciated
