Are you exporting (sharing the windows folder) that you are trying to
mount? "Use smbclient -L //machine_name" to check what the windoze
machine is actually exposing to the network. There is also a debug flag
to smbclient that may help ("man smbclient") - get smbclient working
first and you then have the settings for smbmount. Though it usually
gives a different error message, have you taken care of the encrypted
password problem?
