OK, we all want to get away from windoze, but some of us can't (yet)!
John, so many possibilities & so little info. Firstly, I'm sure you've done this
already,
but lets do it again: check your settings CAREFULLY to make sure they are the same on
both
systems - I had a similar problem (except the other way around - Linux hanging ) and
found
that I had mistyped one of the DNS entries - very easy to do, and since it was
similar, I
looked at it several times before I saw the error.
Other than that - tell us how you connect & give us something to work with - email
privately
if you don't want to further upset those who have successfully got M$ out of their
systems
