Hi Burkhard
and list,

thanks for your answers. It's not a question for me, that mandrake is one of
the best distris - otherwise I wouldn't have it.
But I think, it would be a good and useful idea, if mandrake would take an eye
of the changed programs and docs and give some docs, which explains or
describes, what has been changed and whats new.

I think, we all know, Linux IS THE FUTURE - or is there anyone, who is in doubt
of this knowlege ?
And for shure, Linux is free. So some things may not have the last professionel
touch - see docs.
But if we know, how we - the users - can make a help in completing such missing
files and can upload such files on a certain area of mandrakes FTP-Server or
anywhere, I think, there would be a lot of users, which would do that little
effort.

I personally found some docs of programs, which are very very different in
releases, so for a example the docs for taper has a release-nr of 1.4.2 and the
release is 6.9a - and there are a lot of such exapmles.

Maybe it would be an idea, if all such little helpers would open an own
mailinglist, where all the missing docs can be discussed and bring together all
the needed informations, after that anyone can make these docs "official". For
shure, the mandrake-people should also do a little help here.
-And - a few people should make a compare, so it would be possible, that the
programs and docs have the same release.

Think, that would make the life a little easier for newcomers and all the other
users.

Anybody there, who have an interest in doing such little help ? If so, please
mail me back.

bye
