I have an IDE CD-RW drive and it writes to COMPUSA CD-RW disks just fine
but won't write to um . . . hmmm . . . I tossed 'em. Memorex, I think,
disks at all.
Have you tried more than one brand of CD-RW disk?
However, I've never been able to blank them, and thus can only use 'em
once, and they are expensive for that purpose, so I've reverted back to
CD-Rs even though it means I'm adding to landfill space quite a bit
since I use the CD-R for my system backups.
It always says it needs to eject the disk to re-sense something but then
it turns around and re-reads it before there's time for me to even pop
the drawer back in . . .
