hi alan,
it's wierd, i definitely only sent it once, but since i subscribed to
the expert list (not that i see myself as such but i thought i would
read it to see if i saw anything useful) i've been getting some messages
in both mailing lists with "re: [expert] [newbie] <message subject>",
i've also noticed that quite a few messages that other people are
posting are being repeated,
possibly this is an artifact of a netscape bug/problem on my machine but
somehow this doesn't ring true (like-what do i know?),
as an example i am replying to your message while reading it in the
'expert' list, yet my original post was to the 'newbie' list,
apologies if my netscape is playing up, but that wouldn't explain the
replies in my inbox to threads i'm not a part of,
i'm checking my composition thoroughly before sending, lets see which
(if not both) list it arrives in and how many copies there are
bascule
p.s. i've decided to delete 'newbie from the subject, guessing that both
list names in there might lead to a post to both groups anyway,
your message subject line being "Re: [expert] [newbie] duplicate
messages"
