A fast question for you: did you delete any files from the "/tmp" directory? Believe it or not, Mandrake puts a directory named ".X11-unix/" in tmp, and this directory contains an ESSENTIAL system file. And this is not the end of the story either. There is another ESSENTIAL directory and file in "/tmp" needed for the operating system to function properly. Why (I can hear you asking)? I do not know, we must ask the Mandrake code writers......
