I am using the 2.3.99-preX kernel series, and so I have to mount the shm file system. Following kernel docs, I know where to mount it (/var/shm), but don't know when. And those docs also say that /var/shm is just an election, it could change between distributions. Any one knows if this process has been standarised in Mandrake ? When (in rc scripts) and where (mount point) should I mount shm ?
