Please help me to find out how to be able to run X
over a SSH connection through a firewall by
pointing to an appropriate resource, or by giving
an advice from your own experience as I've run
out of ideas. I'm running Mandrake 7.0 on a
firewall/ftp server and on a desktop behind that
firewall at home. I am able to ssh into the
firewall and from it into the main machine. My
understanding is that I can't ssh directly into
the main PC as it's hidden behind the firewall and
has a bogus IP (192.168.2.2), can I?
Anyway, I really need to be able to start another
session of X through the ssh connection or if it's
not possible I'd like to be able to run vnc
through the same ssh connection. I've tried both
to no avail as I always get an error that system
can't connect to X server. Is it because I ssh to
it from a firewall which doesn't run x or what?
I'm sorry if it sounds completely confusing, but
this is the last source of help I can turn to and
I can provide more information on the setup if
necessary.

  Thank you.
