Well
1. You don't HAVE to use their DNS servers
2. You can find the information br bringing up Konsole and
$ su
password: (enter the root passowrd)
# host -a www.yourisp.(com,net or org).
(Note the trailing period)
You will receive lots of info including the addresses of the DNS servers and
the IP address itself.
You will NOT receive your own IP address--it may change every time you log
on--but there is a nice script for finding that at www.yi.org
