Sounds like you didn't get all the related rpms for QT.
There are several that are needed and should all be together
at the same place you got the other one.
Any reason you are getting 1.44 instead of the new QT2
that is out there? Are you trying to install KDE, where
1.44 is needed?
All the QT 1.44 and QT2 (older version) rpms are on the
CD if you have the CD.
If not rpmfind.net is a great place to find all the related
files you need. Since the resulting search not only
gives the file, but further down the page what is also
needed for that rpm.
