It mihgt be related to another known problem with Netscape under Linux.
Where Java Script would cause the browser to close. It had something to do
with not having all the correct fonts installed. in the X-Font Server.
Perhaps it's trying to use a special font in it's notification that you are
accessing / leaving a secure page?
