By default, webmin is not running in most types of installations.
You might try
DrakConf->Startup Services->and make sure webmin is a)listed and b)checked.
If it was not checked, then check it and (shudder) reboot. If it was not
listed, use rpm to install it from CD or download it from any of the Mandrake
mirrors, use rpm to install it, then return to DrakConf and activate it.
Then reboot or hunt for the particular initscript that starts it.
Then immediately run it (by netscape to http://127.0.0.1:1000 login root
password root pw), select webmin configuration, select IP Access Control,
tick "Only Allow from listed addresses", and enter 127.0.0.1, then save. You
can add more addresses later, but do this for security right away. Now only
someone on your machine knowiing your root password can get to it.
Then look around. You are at the helm of a powerful and helpful tool.
