Hi there!

I just wanted to let everyone know I finally have my Dell Latitude Cpx
650J working properly with AGP/3D acceleration. Since Xfree86 4.0 GLX or
DRI doesn't yet support my ATI Rage Pro chipset, I had to switch to the
default 3.3.6 Mach64 server. It still has artifacts in 24-bit, but under
16-bit, it's just fine.

Back to the topic, I installed and configured kernel 2.4.0 pre 6 (ver. 7
worked, but OSS didn't have a sound driver for it..) for AGP and Intel
440BX support. Next, download the source files for the Utah-GLX
components (I found the link at www.mesa3d.org). Follow the HOWTO
directions and everything should work fine. I'm currently running the
gears demo at 400-450 FPS. Quake3 runs at 40 FPS in 800x600, and with the
OSS drivers, it looks and sounds awesome. Unreal Tournament runs well,
but I still have choppy sound constantly. Any help with that would be
appreciated (using 4.25 drivers from Loki) Actually, this is probably due
to problems I've seen between the SDL package and the OSS drivers.
Penguin Command did the same thing... Any fixes?

This week I'll post my entire configuration setup for this laptop on a
separate webpage. IRDA, AGP, Sound, CD-RW, docking station, everything,
this laptop is finally fully up and running (fast, too!).

Feel free to write if you need specifics...
