Yeah, try it.  I think it should be ok.  I've found that with any
number of things I compile, I get lots of messages (not quite like
that, but enough to make me nervous a while ago).  I just ignore them
now and if it builds binaries at the end, I figure it must be (more or
less) ok, so I wouldn't worry about those messages.  Now, if glibc
doesn't work properly once you install it, that's a different story.
