I have downloaded and redownloaded kdebase rpms for kde 1.94 and now for kde 1.99. They refuse to install. It gets MOSTLY installed but then kdebase, and only kdebase, dies about 2/3s thru the install. The ONLY app I have managed to get to run after all this is a VERY sick and broken kdbg. It opens with a screwed up interface. Every other app I have tried to run has the same problem with the kdecore lib - supplied by its own kdelibs. The whole shebang is BROKEN BIG TIME. I am THIS close to giving up on kde (and mandrake) and going to what is the only thing that works on my system right now: Gnome. praedor
