As long as you're having such a good time, why don't you post the rest of the message. cpio: unlink etc (probably failed, perhaps text file busy?) If so, it's still do-able. Are you in X when trying to install? In theory, I believe, rpm's been patched to allow it to proceed even if a file (ie binary) is busy. I downloaded and installed the kdelibs and kdelibs-devel precompiled binaries, yet kde doesn't like its own rpms! It doesn't like what is IN its own rpms. Can anyone shed light here? I am getting close to going to RedHat again. I want and need a working or even semi-working system. praedor
