Well, I'm no guru, but that stuff works on my computers and home
network.
Now, I did not look at bind's setup files; see the DNS HOWTO for that. I
set up a simple non-authoritative caching server, and that works for me. I
have all my local systems in /etc/hosts so I don't have to much around
with an authoritative server for my network.
