Make
sure you have the telnet-server installed:
[root@elmo /root]# rpm -qa | grep
telnet
telnet-0.16-4mdk telnet-server-0.16-4mdk Make
sure the entry for telnet is not commented out in
/etc/inetd.conf:
telnet
stream tcp nowait root
/usr/sbin/tcpd in.telnetd
However, you really should install ssh-server and use ssh to remotely
login. It used to be, and probably still is, on the makdrake-crypto
site. I use the free-for-private-use ssh Windows client to get into my LM
7.1 box.
