But first: thank's for the notes on hardware, it is very easy to forget that 
there can in fact be some small details in the hardware that makes one 
desperate and sweaty trying to configure a system, this could save some 
people from going mad and hit the box with a sledgehammer.

If you are stating that Linux will always 'automatically' find the correct 
amount of RAM then you are wrong. My experience is that this is very 
different between different Linux distributions when installed on the same 
box, most of them seem to find only 64MB automatically and I have to help 
them detecting the rest.

I like cow's, but I wouldn't try to make them go out sailing with me, they'd 
probably panic and freeze.....
