Hi Folks, I'm installing my firewall once again. Since this is the second time (or so) I want to understand a bit more of it too and I want to get it right. So I'm looking at the /etc/rc3.d directory, where I see an entry S08ipchains. It is set up before S10network. But say I want to modify the script in S08ipchains and I want to use the address and the name servers I got from the DHCP server of my provider. How can this be achieved if the network isn't up yet? In S08ipchains a variable is set: IPCHAINS_CONFIG=/etc/sysconfig/ipchains This file doesn't exist on my system. What should it look like? Is that described somewhere?
