Acrobat Reader hangs immediately upon start-up. No windows appear, nor any error messages. I have managed to run it once (I'm pretty sure it was only once). I'm running on a brand new 7.1 machine from ASL; the only thing I have installed is libstdc++ from the 7.1 distribution. Re-installing (the same, latest) version from Adobe doesn't help. Removing .acrorc doesn't help. Running as root doesn't help. Running from a brand new user account doesn't help. It is only the front-end that doesn't work: everything works fine on the command line.
