Most of the soundcard drivers have the joystick driver built in. That's the reason you need the emu10k1-joy module. The the example that I gave you was for the SoundBlaster Live! card. In case you have a different card, you most probably don't need the -joy module. Just load the sound module and the appropriate joystick module and you should be up and running... Balaji
