Just my 2 cents: never had a problem with a Celeron 433 on an oldie (and
goldie) Shuttle 637 board; trying to "upgrade" to a cheap dual board (Asus
2P97DS) and a larger HD, Mandrake would hang in 2-nd stage install, except
with a junkie 512k VGA card. The moral: for me, its Shuttle and not Asus;
all the
new crap I've seen, including BIOS-es soldered on the mobo, tells me Asus
now plays the marketing games more than the technical game we were used to.

Such a shame.
