Of course DVD [ROM] works under Linux. Linux supports the UFS filesystem
[as well as ISO9660, used on certain DVDs]. This is a seperate issue from
being able to decode any VOB [video object] files that exist on the disc
[in the case of DVD movies] but this is being worked on by the OMS
project, who are building a DVD player for linux. Check them out at
