I downloaded the kde-2.0.1 mdk rpms (from Molnar) and something is just not quite right. I do NOT have a kpm (used to be ktop) entry in my kmenu->Applications->Monitoring menu. Isn't there and I cannot put it there. Running update-menus doesn't work. Logging in as root, opening up menudrake and manually entering kpm into the system menu fails. That is, it goes in as I enter it but when I save it, there is an inordinantly long delay while it says it is saving, then it says it is complete (no error messages) but in the end, there is STILL no kpm entry in my kmenu. I can run it from an xterm so it does exist but the kde 2.0.1 refuses to see it or accept its existence. The panel settings menu item doesn't work. Not as root, not as user. I am sure there are other small things dorked up but these are, by far, the most annoying I have come across. praedor
