Your main memory or front side bus may be running at 100 MHz and you may
have a UDMA 100 hard drive but that does not mean the PCI bus is running
at 100 MHz.  The PCI bus runs at 33 MHz on a standard system, it is set
up to run at a fraction of the FSB which is typically at 100 MHz, or, on
some of the newer PIII and T-Bird/Duron Systems, at 133 MHz.  The Linux
setup looks at the PCI bus for the number you quoted above.
