Thanks for saying thanks then :).

Okay, but I still don't understand why you need three different versions
of the same OS, espeically when they are only point releases. Judging by
your mounting questions, you sounded like a Linux newbie, so I thought
you may have been doing it for the

I think I am. I still don't understand why anybody would want three
different minor versions of Mandrake installed simultaneously, unless
they were confused about something.

Erm...

So you're doing this as a learning exercise? I think you'd get more
benefit from installing Mandrake once, and really using it to its full
potential, or playing with VMWare to install multiple OSs, running them
simultaneously, and seeing how they interact.

or if you wanted to take a look at the differences between versions of
Linux, BSD< and Unix, I'd install Mandrake, Debian, Solaris and/or
OpenBSD.

I don't think I criticized you. I said you don't know a lot about Linux,
and your questions regarding mounting are the basis for that. There's
nothing wrong with being a newbie.

I don't feel inferior to you, which is why I haven't cricized you.
Sheesh!

I don't dislike you. Though this email seems a little stange though. I
don't mind Windows either - whatevers the best tool for the job. Windows
and Linux each have advantages over the other. But that's off topic.
