Onur,
Your comments make me feel good about going forward with this project. It
seems the reviews I have read about the video don't rate it to highly for
gaming. If this machine was going to be a work horse only I would just go
with 2d on-board video. But since I enjoy playing opengl games and I didn't
see loki supporting this video card, I began to shy away from it. Have you
run opengl with it and got decent performance? Since I am going to put 256mb
of ram on this board I figured I would open set the agp apeture high in the
bios.
As for the nvidia card I am getting playable performance from it, but less
than windows. The nvidia drivers went in for me with no problems, I didn't
use the rpms I went with the tar files. Edited XF86Config-4 to added glx and
nv per the readme. I get about 10fps less in linux than windows, I would bet
that I have some mesa lib's laying around, just never bother looking for them.
