No I didn't make a boot disk. I should have though. Anyway I'm looking at
making a rescue boot disk. I tried using the 'tomsrtbt' disk but it uses
Linux ver. 2.037. My original Linux is 2.2. When I try and mount the disk it
complains that the disk has new features and it won't mount it. I've tried
using % mount /dev/sda5 -t ext2 /disk and I get the above error. I've even
tried the mount without the -t option to let the O/S figure out what to do
but it won't mount the disk. I think the boot disk needs to be at least the
Linux version I was running or later.

The question is, what do I do after I get the disk mounted? What repairs can
I do? What files should I copy over...?

Did you make a boot disk on install? If you did, boot off of this disk and
then reinstall the 7.2 kernel RPMS.

If not, mount the root file system somewhere else and possibly copy over the

appropriate files by hand.
