I think that the questionable partition is the /boot. Did you specify
that in DiskDrake as your /boot partition? Did you tell lilo to use the
hda1 or hda to install the boot loader?
Suggestion, try using FDISK instead of diskdrake. Diskdrake is a very
handy tool, but it isn't perfect. Also, you are dealing with a 100+gig
drive???? Geez.. ;-) Maybe your having problems because of that (as it
is unusally big!) (that didn't sound good...) anyway.
Make sure you have the most recient version of bios update on your
motherboard too.
BTW, your not having the second CD ROM won't (shouldn't) make a
difference.
