Hi,
Thanks for the info so far. I still can't understand why 7.2 will not
install when 7.1 installs perfectly and gives me access to all of my drives.
It seems wrong for a distribution like Mandrake to produce a new version
that will not work on hardware that the previous version had no problems
with. It should be getting better NOT worse. How many users will be put off
Mandrake for good???????
Anyway enough said, I have tried again to load 7.2 and have produced the
detection sequence below up till the system freezes.

hda IBM-DHEA-36481, 6197MB W/472KB Cache, CHS-790/255/63, UDMA(33)

The system now stops and will do nothing else.
I have tried "linux noautotune" after pressing F1 but I end up with the same
result.
Please help if you can I would love to get Mandrake working again with KDE2.

Thanks in advance
Paul
