Using MDK 7.2 and have updated through auto update all the recommended
packages. I'm using a Canon bjc 4400 with mandrake for a couple of years
with no problems with MDK. With 7.2 I have no problem printing text from any
of the programs including KDE 2.1. Gimp and graphic prgs is the only problem
I have with printing. Whenever I print out any graphic I get about 20 pages
of text instead of the graphic from gimp. The other prgs print out graphics
but a real faded mess like I you would get from an ink cartridge running out.
When using gimp I get the multiple page text printout starting with the
following heading
%! PS-Adobe-3.0
%Creator Print plug-in V4.0.0rc1 - 24 Oct 2000 for Gimp
When I go into drake printer setup it ask for the CD and looks for
ghostscript-5.50-35mdk.i586.rpm and installs it. I already had
ghostscript-5.50-35.1mdk.i586.rpm installed from mandrake update.
Any how I tried to install the Canon bjc 4400, 600 option for a printer which
has worked for a couple of years now with MDK. I printed out the test page
that came out fine. But still the same problem!!!
