You should be able to print several image formats by simply sending the
file to the printer:
xpp image.jpg &
If image printing only does not work with GIMP, configure GIMP as
described here:
http://www.mandrakeuser.org/hardware/hcups8.html#gimp
To get the best graphics output quality from your printer, set up its
options to the highest resolution and quality. To see how to set up
printer options read
http://www.mandrakeuser.org/hardware/hcups2.html#kups
http://www.mandrakeuser.org/hardware/hcups2.html#wwwinterface
http://www.mandrakeuser.org/hardware/hcups7.html
If this does not help, you can use exactly the same driver as it was
used by Mandrake 7.1. Choose
"Canon BJC-4400, Foomatic + bjc660"
but normally, the GIMP-Print drivers, set to best quality, give better
results:
"CANON BJC-4400 photo, CUPS+GIMP-print"
"Canon BJC-4400 Foomatic + stp-v4.0 (GIMP-Print)"
