Bear with me & let's start at the top. What version of rpm do you currently
have installed? When I upped rpm from 3.0.4-x to 3.0.5-27 I went to the rpm ftp
site & incrementally stepped thru each intermediate version (which were RH
386's) til I reached 3.0.5 - whatever was prior to 5-27. Avoided some nasty
dependency issues along the way.
