[expert] Why Sympa?

For the last couple of years I have seen
mandrake-lists, cooker,newbie and expert
struggled with the machinations of Sympa.

Is there a paticular reason MandrakeSoft
continues to use this  List Manager
Software Package? I have not seen it used in years
on the dozen or so Lists I have subscribed to from
time to time.

Someone must REALLY like it!
I have seen List Managers come and go on
many Linux related Lists and I can only find
Sympa being used by MandrakeSoft.!?

Just curious?
