<js> As a matter of fact I am kind of bleery eyed myself at the moment, and
slighlty irritated. In my euphoria I decided to print an image of my kids to
give the printer a complete test. I opened the image in gimp and selected
print. Well, the default print in gimp was postscript2 and 50 plus pages
later of fighting to clear the queue and the printer memory has ended any
high I was on.
<js> As for the email program I use kmail for now and I notice when I get
into a back and forth discussion I get lost and confused, so I usually put a
"<js> "in front of my comments and hope the receipent follows similar form to
help sort thing out. So I apologize for the confusion. The links you sent
me definitly got me going in the right direction. I think the cupsd.conf was
ok all along, but it was the ppds.dat file that was trashed. As soon as
printerdrake installed it again everything started working.
Thanks,
Jerry
