Hi, I just installed the 2.4 kernel into my system running 7.2. I used a
precompiled Mandrake kernel and it worked just fine. I don't know about USB
support though, as I don't have any devices. One strange thing is that the
Mandrake precompiled kernel was not compiled with ppp support, so you have
to load the modules yourself.
