[expert] MDK 7.2 Sound problems

On  earlier versions I specified sound as modules on kernel compilation.

(for my Sound Blaster 16)
Upon installing MDK 7.2 with modules selected Iam not able to use any
sound devices

/proc/modules says that sound is unused

I do find find the command "sndconfig" in the 7.2 distribution.

What must I do to get my SoundBlaster working??
