Updates work fine, but you might have to "force" a few of them.

As a result earlier ones might fail giving you dependancy errors...

Have you looked in /var/cache/grpmi ?

Subject: [expert] Questions about Mandrake Update

Some questions about Mandrake Update

1. Has anyone every actually tested the "Normal Updates"? The reason
I ask is that I have a 7.2 system with no maintenance other than
"Normal Updates" up to a few days ago, and I get dependancy errors
trying to install some of the latest updates.
cups 1.1.6-2.1mdk produces a whole string of dependancies and invites
one to force/quit.
the xemacs 21.1.14-1.1mdk series chugs away for a long time, then
reports a dependancy error in some man file and quits without offering
the force/quit option.

2. There are quite a few updates for KDE. Can these really be
installed from an active KDE, or will they break my system?
