For whatever reason, I have found, since Mandrake 7.0 or so, that my Mandrake
systems, with ALL development libs and support installed, simply cannot and
will not compile kde anymore.
If I download a source rpm for kde or a tarball, even though qt2, qt2 devel,
etc, is installed I have never gotten past similar problems as indicated by
David. This has been true regardless of the level of update I try for such
things as gcc, egcs, glibc, qt2, and so forth. I have long been curious just
what it is about, say, your system (Chris) that differs from mine in this
regard. I am assuming you are using Mandrake and that it isn't cooker...
Nothing extra added? No special "rpm --relocate" s?
For you to successfully build kde src rpms, what do you have installed?
