Folks,

Before upgrading CUP, my printer was working just fine. After upgrading
CUP and QTCUP via the Mandrake update utility, my system no longer can
find my CUP server. On bootup, at the CUP entry I get execvp:no such
directory or file (although it appears when I execute a "locate" from
terminal). When I try to configure my printer through Mandrake's
configuration utility, it complains about not being able to find the CUP
server.

I've compared configuration settings with those on another machine on
which I've loaded M72, and they look the same.

I thought of installing PrintPro, but fuhggitaboutit. The installation
ran afoul of too many CUP dependencies and wouldn't install.

Obviously, something has changed, perhaps in a configuration file, that
is misdirecting something else, but beats me what...

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Pete Spotts
