Mandrake Update doesn't automatically download the new and necessary
  cups-common-1.1.6-2.1mdk.i586.rpm
  libcups1-1.1.6-2.1mdk.i586.rpm
and the nice, but not necessary
  libcups-devel-1.1.6-2.1mdk.i586.rpm
You'll have to ftp over to an update mirror and get these by hand,
install them with

and then get it working with

Update doesn't do this automatically because they're new files and
so not already on your system (and hence not recognized as being
desirable).
