I am having problems using X. I just installed Mandrake 7.2 on a system. When i was
installing Mandrake it asked me if i wanted to install X 4.0 or X 3.? im not sure on
the last one. Well the version 4 didnt work and the version 3 worked. I have a cheap
old pci Trident video card. Well after i did the install X worked. While i was in X i
used Mandrakes change resolution program and tried to change the resolution which
didnt work. After i was done. I exited out of X and later on i logged back into the
computer and X doesnt work anymore. When i do a test configuration the screen shows up
all nasty with different colors, exactly like when i picked X version 4 during the
install. Which makes me think that it's using version 4 again. So how can i switch
back to version 3.? . Do any of you think the problem could be something else.
