[expert]Printing from Netscape

Man 7.0 using Canon bjc4400 printer

When printing from a Netscape screen 4.5 I get the printing
starting from the
top and then it fades out before finishing the page.
I just wrote a letter using WP8 so don't believe it's the printer.
Then I just changed to another Linux version, where I have
Netscape 4.72, and
the entire page printed.
Any clue about a screwup in the setting?  Is there a buffer
setting somewhere?
