All, I just upgraded my 7.2 system to the latest ximian gnome, so i can mess around with evolution, etc. anyway, everything installed right, but my gdm doesn't think Gnome is installed anymore! I looked at it a little, and in /etc/X11/gdm/Sessions/ all the windows manager scripts in there are executeable except for Gnome and Sawfish. If i make them executable, and init 3, init 5, Gnome works fine. However, after rebooting, the scripts were not executable again!?!? so, i'm assuming they must be created by gdm at init. Anyone see this before, or have any ideas? Thanks! Ken -- Kenneth Lierman Jr. klierman AT bigfoot.com (use kenlierman for real) :)
