Hello everyone,

I have a question about glibc updates. I'm running Mandrake 7.2 with all of the
"updates". But i
was perusing a security site and it directed me to an advisory regarding all versions
of glibc
prior to 2.1.3-27.

I have the latest version from the various Mandrake update mirrors, 2.1.3-18.3, so i
took a look
at rpmfind.net and there are later versions, but nothing for Mandrake (there are some
for Redhat).

Should i update to one from Redhat? What's specific to Mandrake about these various
packages, and
can i safely use another package?

Thanks muchly,
john
